Amélie Desbiens

Clinical Intern

Each individual is unique, deserving of being listened to, supported in their experiences, and accompanied in resolving their challenges and fostering their personal development. Changing past events may not be possible, but learning from these experiences and continuing to grow is achievable. The psychotherapy approach involves becoming aware of sometimes unconscious mechanisms and habits that affect functioning (thoughts, emotions, and behaviour) and a person's ability to adapt to difficult situations in their life.

My approach is to provide you with a warm, secure, respectful, and non-judgmental space in which you can express your emotions, thoughts, fears, needs, and even your dreams. Additionally, the therapeutic relationship, which we will develop collaboratively, aims to support you in making the changes you desire across various aspects of your life. I will be there to compassionately accompany you in resolving your difficulties, promoting healing, and fostering your personal growth.
