Over the years, I’ve gained relevant experience working within different interdisciplinary teams in medical and community health settings. Through my clinical work, I have always been dedicated and devoted to the therapeutic process by providing a safe and trusting environment.

My passion for this field started while completing a post Graduate degree in Addiction and Mental Health. Since then, my desire to help and support others has brought me to further my education by completing a Bachelor of Arts (Honours), specialized in Human Relation and Spirituality. After graduating, my passion for this work lead me to further my pursuit by completing a Master’s degree in Counselling, Psychotherapy and Spirituality, with a specialization in couple and family therapy.

In parallel to my clinical experience and my education,
I have completed significant additional training:

  • Self-in-Relationship Psychotherapy (SIRP):
    Institute for Self-in Relationship Psychotherapy
    (in progress)

  • Intensive Sex Therapy Training Program: University of Guelph

  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT): International Centre for Excellence in    Emotionally Focused Therapy.

  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT): Joy Health and Research Centre.

  • Acupuncture Detox: National Acupuncture Detoxification Association.

  • SMART Recovery Facilitator.

Other workshops and training recently completed: Mindfulness, Emotional Focused Therapy (EFT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Harm reduction, Withdrawal Management with a Concurrent Disorder Perspective, Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training (NCI), Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST), Adolescent Suicide Prevention and Intervention.

I have always placed a strong importance on continuous training in different therapeutic modalities as it allows me to have a therapeutic flexibility to implement treatment plans that are specifically tailored to you.

As a therapist who specializes in addiction, my priority is to assess
and evaluate elements that are amplifying this behaviour.

Treatment for addiction presents complexities as it causes a rippling effect. Not only does this condition bring cognitive, emotional, behavioural, and spiritual disturbance for the individual struggling with addiction, but it stimulates conflicting relational dynamics, ultimately triggering more loneliness and suffering for those closely involved.

Expanding and implementing a systemic vision, allows me to identify and understand elements to incorporate in the treatment plan specifically tailored to you.
