Claire Doherty, B.A, RP(Q)
Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
My therapeutic practice is guided by curiosity, authentic connection, and collaboration. I see clients as the experts of their lives and consider it a privilege to provide a warm safe space free of judgment to facilitate self-awareness, growth, and healing. Within this therapeutic space, we can work together to gain a better understanding of the patterns you have adapted to, deciding which ones continue to serve you, and which ones are keeping you stuck.
Through a polyvagal and trauma informed lens, I take a holistic, integrative, and person-centered therapeutic approach, tailoring therapy to your unique needs. I strongly believe that connection within and outside of the therapeutic relationship has a vital influence on wellbeing and change. Practicing through this relational perspective, I also pull from theories such as internal family systems, cognitive behavioural therapy, narrative therapy, dialectical behavioural therapy, and solution-focused therapy. I have a deep and enduring commitment to social justice and strive to provide care that is culturally responsive and LGBTQ2S+ affirmative.
