Katie Hanvey
Counselling Intern
I believe that healing and growth happen through authentic connection with ourselves, others, and the world around us. It is through these meaningful relationships that our core human needs can be recognized and fulfilled. Whether working with individuals or couples, I offer a safe and empathetic space where you can explore yourself or your relationship with honesty and vulnerability, facilitating your journey toward deeper insight, connection, and meaningful change.
I hold a deep respect for the uniqueness and value of each person’s experience, and at the heart of my practice is a nurturing and collaborative therapeutic relationship. Together, we’ll shape a therapeutic path that reflects your needs. My approach is integrative, drawing from psychodynamic, relational, emotion-focused, and somatic modalities. I work from a person-centered, humanistic, and holistic perspective that honours the complexity and interconnectedness of your life.

Our counselling interns meet and work closely with Clinical Director Sabrina Lacasse for one-on-one supervision where every case is reviewed through a psychodynamic lens. Counselling interns work in a supportive environment that includes close guidance and mandatory training. This approach enriches therapy while upholding the strict and professional standards of Lacasse Counselling. Sessions with an intern are offered at a reduced fee, making in-depth care more accessible.
