Nika Ima, MA (in completion)

Counselling Intern

Taking the first step in therapy can feel challenging at times. My goal when working with you is to help you feel seen, heard, and respected, by offering a calm, safe and non-judgemental space when exploring challenges. By working side by side, we will explore the deeper roots that may be holding you back and move forward at a pace that feels right for you. Together, we’ll see how unconscious patterns may be shaping your daily thoughts and emotions, and start building awareness to help better understand yourself and work towards meaningful change.

My approach relies deeply on compassion, self-awareness, validation, and understanding. I believe everyone has unique life experiences that deserve to be heard. You do not have to navigate through hardship alone.  I approach my work with the understanding that meaningful change starts with feeling seen. By using a psychodynamic lens, as well as relational therapy, we can bring insight into what may be holding you back. I hear you, I see you, and I trust that by working collaboratively and building trust, we can find the right path in reaching your goals.
